I can't help but smile as I look at Ro. Her first chance at love -- especially being Ro -- is exciting! I can sense that Guinevere is a bit jealous, but she hasn't even gotten near boys since Emmet.
I take a few bites of my dinner and contemplate what we'll be doing this time tomorrow. I've always loved late night shopping -- maybe that's what we'll do.
I sneak a glance at Ro, and follow her gaze to the waiter. I can't help but think, oh, he is gorgeous. But I'm not jealous. I left my boyfriend at home, and I'm not going to ditch him! I'm glad for Ro.
We finish up our dinners, and with one last glance at the waiter, we head out. "Let's go shopping!" I exclaim. "Not now, Scarlett. We should sleep before you drag us to every shop in the city," Guinevere hokes. I smile and reply that we probably should sleep. We walk back to the hotel, taking in the sights and sounds of the city at the same time.
"I haven't even shopped and I already love it here!" I exclaim. I can imagine Guinevere replying that this is a first for me, bit she doesn't reply for some reason. I look back at her, and I realize that she's still jealous of Ro.
"So, what do you guys want to do first, tomorrow?" I ask, hoping to lighten her mood.
"I don't know, maybe we should ride around and see what there is to do. Besides, shop!" Guinevere laughs. I smile because I know I succeeded. And Guinevere knows what I was doing, too. But she doesn't care, she's just happy for a change of subject.
We get to the hotel and enter our room. I get on my pajamas (it's still fun, even now) and sit on my bed. Ro is reading a book, so I chat with Guinevere. After a while we turn out the lights, happy for a good night's sleep before tomorrow.
I lay in bed, wondering what the following day will bring.
