Light hit my sleeping form like a huge beam, shining into my face. I awoke with a start, breathing heavily and looking around bewildered.
Morning had come, and it seemed as if nobody was rejuvenated from the night's rest, except maybe Valour, but I'm not sure he counted.
Alexican seemed a little more quiet then usual, and every once in a while she would stare down at a scar on her arm, as if there was something extraordinary about it.
Arien and Lace also seemed to be dazed from the night, and I wasn't quite sure what to make of it all.
"Everyone! Everyone!!" A young sailor, one of the ones who was still in shape, and a distance runner, came running through our make-shift camp, excitement written all over his face.
"What is it?" Rerin was finally the one to stop him, trying to get the information from him.
He heaved and coughed, trying to get his breath back. "There's- A... Town! About 15 miles from here!" He finally managed to cough out, and the whole camp seemed to be at a stand still, unsure what to make of the news.
"Great! Finally some descent food!" Valour cut in, and then everyone burst into talk.
Making plans, we decided to head over that way right away, to restock the supplies we had lost in the wreck, and to see where exactly we had landed.
Hurrying ahead, our small group left a good 30 minutes before any of the sailors, who were still trying to salvage any crates that had washed ashore.
The last thing I did was repay the captain for his ruined ship, and then hurried ahead to catch up with the others.
