"Tom, look at me."
I glanced at her. "Yes, darling?" I said sarcastically.
Chrissy frowned. "Why aren't you talking to me?"
I shrugged. "I guess I just don't have anything to say."
"You always have something to say."
"Don't be a brat."
"I'm not being a brat."
"Yes you are!"
"Am four---wait! No! You're being a brat, Tom."
I smirked. "Have I ever told you I love you?" I leaned forward and kissed her lightly on her lips, placing my hand gently on the back of her neck.
She smiled as I leaned back. "That's more like it, Mr. Brat."
My smirk formed into a calm smile. "You're cute." I redirected my attention to the road. "Where are the others?"
"They should get here any minute now," Chrissy said, glancing down at her watch.
I nodded. "They better. If I have to sit in here with you any longer I'm going to---"
"Watch it!" she warned jokingly, grabbing my arm.
I looked at her. "If I have to sit in here with you any longer, I'm going to kiss you again. But probably for a lot longer."
Chrissy smiled. She glanced over my shoulder out at the road. "I hope they get lost."
I smiled widely. "So do I."
I put my arms around her waist, and leaned forward. She leaned as well. My shoulder bumped the wheel of the car, honking the horn, and completely ruining the moment. I scowled and punched the wheel, causing an even louder honk.
She giggled, and I smiled.
"If you could have any power, what would you choose and why?"
"Flying," Chrissy mumbled, looking dreamily out the window.
"Perfect," I said with a chuckle. "Up, up, and away!" I grabbed her by the waist and hauled her over the shift and onto my lap. She quickly threw her arms around my head and began to kiss me. We kissed continuously, but rhythmically. It was almost like art. Suddenly, there was a knock at the window. Chrissy pulled her face away from me and looked at the window.
Isobel. With a huge smile on her face.
Scarlet red covered our faces as I carefully lifted Chrissy and set her back in her chair. I opened the door and stepped out. Chrissy thew open the car door and got out.
Isobel opened her mouth.
"Not a word!" Chrissy snapped, pushing her hair back nonchalantly.
I smiled sheepishly. I looked over at Elijah and Rhea, who were both staring at us, obviously suppressing smiles.
"So," I said quietly. "What's new?"
