Backstory for part of a semi-scifi RP I'm doing with a good friend concerning my character Celeste Lisle and her characters Jamie Gardner and Mitch Russel.
I'm aware it has many grammatical errors and that is because it is essentially written by the character of Celeste's grandpa.
Hope you enjoy.
Dear Doctor Jamie,
Please forgive the fact that this letter isn't too formal as I haven't had to write a formal letter or nothing in such a long time. But I'll see how much I can remember.
Anyway, straight down to business. You may notice Lissie is a little bonier than usual. That's because the crops haven't been doing really well and her mom as you may have guessed is not particularly inclined to share her money with us right now.
Not that I'm blaming you at all. She had it coming from what I hear and in any case it's no reason not to send your own kin a little something so they don't starve to death, especially when you gave birth to them. Also I'm real sorry about your little run-in. I never did hear exactly what it was she said to you but please accept my apology for her since she ain't likely to do it herself.
But I digress. What I'm getting at here is that I think it's high time I tried to find Lissie's dad and get him to start sending some checks to make sure she doesn't starve over here. And that's where you come in, if you'll accept.
I honestly don't have the first idea of going about this. That's why I'm coming to you. Do you know of any place we could get Lissie's blood drawn and analyzed? You know, a parternety test (sorry if that's spelled wrong).
I know we already owe you a great debt and if you accept this the debt will only pile higher, but I don't know where else to go, and you being a doctor and all I thought maybe it's worth asking. Don't feel bad if you can't (or don't want to) do it. I know you got your reasons and you're a busy guy and all.
If you decide to help us out, please do me a favor and give me a ring or pass word through Lissie (I prefer if you call me because I don't trust her not to forget everything you say). Actually please let me know if you decide you're not up for it too.
Thanks in advance for reading this and taking the time to think about it and all.
Sincerely, Jess Lisle
