Tia had invited me to stay the night, since my flat was pretty far and it was 3:45 in the morning. Her room was super nice and she had a trundle bed so I didn't have to sleep on the floor or a crappy air matress.
"Thanks for letting me stay," I said.
"Aren't you mad?"
"Why?" I looked at her quizzically.
"Well, I didn't let you sleep in Keith's room," she replied.
"Shut up!" I said, laughing and throwing my pillow at her.
"Thanks," she said, turning over in her bed holding my pillow.
"Wait? What!?" I jumped up from my bed and went over to her's. "No! Give me my pillow back!" I shouted, trying to sound angry while laughing. Tia laughed too and I jumped onto her bed.
"Get off!" she yelled, giggling.
"Not until you give me my pillow!" I took the lamp from her bedside table and shone it at her.
"IT BURNS!" she cried jokingly.
"Pillow! Now!" I shouted. Just then, a loud knock came through the left side of her room and we both let out a little screech.
"SHUT UP!" yelled Keith from his room. You could hear him laughing. Tia and I joined him and I put down the lamp and Tia gave me back my pillow.
"Yes, sir Mr. Grumpy Pants," said Tia, pretending to salute the wall.
"G'night," I said, giggling to myself as I went to sleep, finally happy for the first time since I'd been turned immortal.
When I woke up in the morning, Tia was standing there, staring at me.
"Wakey wakey sunshine!" I groaned a her, "Come on! We're going shopping with some of my friends!"
"Shopping?" I replied groggily. "Why Shopping? Why not something fun, like Go Karting!" I said.
She gasped, "You don't like shopping!?"
"Meh," I replied, getting out of my bed and pulling down the pajama shorts Tia had given me. I pushed my bangs back in my hair and took out a scrunchie I'd had in my pocket, putting my hair in a pony tail. I looked around me.
"Do you have a hairband?" I asked her.
"Are you coming shopping?" she came closer to me and whispered. "Keith's going to be there,"
"Okay," I said, trying to keep my excitement out of my voice. "Can we stop by my place first though for some clothes?"
"Sure, you can follow me and Keith in your car, and we'll wait for you, kay?"
"Okay, come on the Sunshine!" said Tia, laughing at my sleepy expression.
"Shut up," I giggled as we left Tia's room, me grabbing my clothes and slipping out the front door before Keith could see me in Tia's Care Bear Pajama shorts.
