We were walking down the hall to get our books back when Snow stopped and I almost hit her with my shoulder.
"Oh no," she said, looking straight ahead.
"What?" I look to where she's looking, Well well, if it isn't mister I've-got-a-stick-up-my-ass-and-I'm-a-royal-snob, "Oh, his royal pain," I say, smirking.
"Yeah, bit of a show off even though he's only second eldest" Darren adds. Snow went pale white and darted in the opposite direction we were going.
"Hey!" I called.
"Wait up!" panted Darren. He wasn't exactly cut out for physical activity. He wasn't fat, but he didn't like running.
"Are you okay?" I ask as Snow slips into a chair and I take the one beside her while Darren takes the one infront. The screen at the head of the class doesn't have anything on it yet, which means we're early, or the teach is taking a leak.
"No," she mumbles. Darren looks at me, scared.
"Do you know him or something?"
"If I tell you something, will you promise not to treat me differently," I smile at Darren then back at Snow.
"Sure," we both reply.
"I'm heir of an Off Planet,"
"What!?" we hissed in unison. I was expecting an ex-boyfriend or maybe a cousin, but her being an heir too?
"Is he your . . . brother?" Please say no, please say no! I said. He absolutely despised Darren and I. Called us "un-fit" to be in the future.
