"What are we going to do?" I whispered looking in her eyes.
"I don't know but....I think you should behave. Maybe you can find out things that I don't know by pretending to be like them..." I looked around the room seeing the other teenagers all doing there own thing. "All loved up and such. I've blown my cover but if we work together I'm sure we can find a way out of here". It finally hit me then that I had to get out of here, where ever ‘here' was.
I nodded unable to get any words out; Delia holds out her hand I understood then that she wanted me shake it. I did telling her in my own way do whatever I can to get us out of here. Suddenly, Terry's door opens I freeze hoping that he hasn't heard us. Terry eyes are fixed on us as he comes over to me and Delia. This time I did look at him, taking in his full appearance. I could see how the other two had fallen under his spell. There was something there to like, but I couldn't see him like that, a lover. No something else.
"Person number four...may I speak with you?" I froze for a moment. Was this it? Did he want to bite me? O'god I can't do this. But I had to, I had to be strong.
"Of course". I smiled a full smile showing that trusted him, when really I was terrified. Terry shots Delia a smug smile, before offering me his hand. I let Terry help me to my feet and we walk hand in hand to his office. I could feel everybody's eyes on me; my heart was pounding out of my chest. I quickly looked back a Delia, nods and mouths ‘relax'. Just relax Faith you can do this. I nodded back knowing that I can do this.
"How are you Faith?" He asked gesturing for me to take a sit. I wanted to blurt out ‘is that a trick question?' But I held my tongue and answered. "Fine thank you."
"Getting on with everyone?" Terry almost sounded like he cared for a moment, I shrugged it off.
"I've only really spoken to De-person number, erm two is it. I can't remember." Dam I almost slipped up there, I could of gotton Delia into trouble there. Looking at him I don't think he noticed much, he did smile when I said ‘I can't remember'. He must of liked the fact that I couldn't remember, his power was working on me.
"Hmm, I think I would prefer it if you didn't spend a lot of time with person number two."
Ah there's something going on here. "Why Terry is there something wrong with her?" Keeping my voice innocent as possible.
"She's trouble, but she will be tamed. I'll make sure of it." Even though the words weren't directed at me, I still felt a shiver go down my spin.
"Don't worry Terry I won't let her get to me. I only look out for me, you can't trust anyone." I wasn't sure where that came from; it was like lodged in my head, like I was repeating myself.
Terry came round his desk standing in front of me. I was looking down at my hands as they laced and unlaced themselves.
"Do you trust me person number four?" He whispered. When I didn't answer he bent down, taking my hands. "Do you trust me?" I soo badly wanted to snatch my hands away, but I couldn't I had to play his into his little game.
"Of course I do Terry." I laced my fingers with his, still avoiding his sapphire eyes.
"Good girl." Repeating the words from before. "I like you person number four." I could hear the lie in his gentle voice as he spoke to me. "You're very different to the others, if there's anything you want then ask and I will try my best to help you."
I was guessing that a key of this place, car and my memory back was out of the question. A small smile went over my lips thinking about those things.
"What's so funny, tell me." He commanded.
"Erm." O'god how can I cover this up?
"Tell me I might be able to help, if it's personal are you." I looked at him then, his face looked puzzled trying to think about something. "Is it a personal matter?" He looked me up and down.
That's when I got it. O'my god. "No no, I'm not. Erm no. God sorry." PMS that's what he thought. I don't know who was more embarrassed. It was like talking to your dad about sex.
I couldn't help but laugh and so did Terry.
"It's my fault, even if it it's personal. But still I would have to take care of you if you was." Coming from him it sounded right and wrong at the same time. I thought back to the conversation replaying it in my head. He sounded more like an older brother looking out for his little sister.
Quickly I closed that feeling off, then making the mistake of looking in his eyes. "Do you still trust me?" I nodded unsure if I was under his power or not. He smiled. "Good. Will you let me kiss you person number four?"
Before I could answer his lips were on mine. I didn't kiss him back, it didn't feel right. But then I remembered what Delia had told me about behaving, maybe I could get something out of him.
So moved my hand to the side of his head, running my fingers through his hair and bring my lips against his letting him take the lead. He pushed me back further into the chair, pressing his body on mine.
"Hmm that was nice." He commented my breathing was coming out fast all I could do was nod. "Hmm this should be interesting." Showing his teeth-fangs he came closer. Relax Faith, don't fight him. But I couldn't help but move away from those teeth.
He didn't like that, his hand snaked around my neck, and I was still struggling as I felt his cold breath against my neck.
