The Unpublished

Recommend

"Welcome  to world where everyone is born a published author. There are a select few though, who've learned to write Unpublished....."

It's your turn to write Unpublished.  :O)

This is a writing exercise to develop your own "voice" or style of writing. (Or just for a time killer as you have a little fun with the classics.....)

You'll be given the first paragraph or two of a classic book or story.  Your job is to rewrite that paragraph in your own words and style of writing.

Here are some tips:

*I want everyone to comfortable here, so please try to keep this clean & free of swear words. (Thanks!)

*Try writing in the time, setting, and genre you normally do (even if it's the opposite of the original paragraph!)

*The rewritten paragraph does not have to stay a "paragraph"---- you can change it to the form you're most comfortable with. (i.e. poetry)

*Look up unfamiliar words and change them to something you understand.

*Don't be shy----be yourself and try your own unique style. Experiment!

*Most important : Have FUN!

As this is a learning exercise, I've disabled ratings. Constructive criticism is welcome , but please remember this is all about developing a unique style of writing!

( PS: All classic paragraphs will have a citation at the bottom---- you don't need to "rewrite" them! I don't own the rights to any of these, so I'm giving credit where credit is due!)

Thanks! :O)
