"Now, students, there is no need to be alarmed by what has happened. Yes, one of our students has perished in some kind of freak accident, but this is by no means the end of the world, or any other kind of silly conspiracy theory that I've been hearing around the corridors. We are deeply saddened by the loss of much loved Tobias..." The Headmaster droned on and on as all us students, cold and wet from the knife-like rain that had begun hammering down shortly after Mark had pulled Tobias's body from the waves. I zoned out from the headmaster's speech, and looked around the room. Mark was sitting near the front, with Tobias's sister, and his close friends. His dark hair was plastered to his face, and his shirt clung to his muscular chest. I couldn't help noticing how sexy he looked.
Viki, seated next to me, let out a disgusted noise, and shot me a dirty look. What? I mouthed. She looked away, and didn't look back even when I nudged her hard in the ribs. What's her problem..? I thought irritably.
Outside, the trees were almost bending in half from the wind, and people were struggling to walk against the driving wind and rain.
Why did I have a horrible feeling this had to do with the skull?
