I strayed from the group, mumbling an excuse I hoped they didn't hear. I wove my way through the crowds of people, trying to find the right shop. Finally, I stopped in front of the one I was looking for. A tiny bell on the door jingled as I came in, and I was relieved to find that I was the only other customer in the shop. There was a man behind the counter wearing a surprisingly clean apron, and he grinned at me.
"What do you want to order?"
I looked around and pointed at a random item.
"Um, I'll have that, but about ten more of them." The man raised a brow, but he went to the back of the store, just like I had wanted. I quickly ran to the refrigerator and grabbed what I wanted. I would pay for it, but the man might get suspicious. I ran out of the shop, taking all of the most empty pathways. Fortunately no one seemed to notice me, but never the less I didn't stop until I was in the forest. Then I sat down and opened the tub.
It was about half full, and I held my flask beneath its surface until it was full. Then I drank the remaining liquid. It was cold but I was used to that. After I was done I threw the tub into the nearest trash can, and clean up. I was hanging the my flask on my waist when I heard some of the other girls coming. I walked out to meet them.
"Hey, are we leaving?"
Aliryia nodded. "Why are you in the forest?"
"Oh, I had to get some more medicine."
"What does that have to do with being in the forest?"
"Where are the others?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"We need to find them." She turned and as I walked behind her I had the feeling that the topic had not been dropped just yet.
