Victim 37

I was walking the streets of town with my boyfriend, Hunter. It was late on a Friday night, but the streets were all strangely empty. It was like a ghost town.
I attempted to grab hold of Hunter's hand, but he pulled away.

"What?" I asked, now looking at his hood-covered face. Hunter continued to stare forward, avoiding my question. I decided to forget it, and moved on.

After about thirty minutes, I started to feel a little uncomfortable at the fact that there was still no one but me and Hunter around. I shoved my hands in my pockets.

"It's weird that no one is out on a Friday night, isn't it?" I asked. I had gotten no reply. I decided to try again. "Do you know where everyone is, Hunter?" I questioned. Still no reply.
We had turned into a dark alley, and something started to smell like rotting flesh. There was another smell as well: Blood. It was then I decided to stop walking and demand an answer.

"Hunter, you've said nothing all night! What's going on?" I shouted at him, trying to stay calm. Just then, it sounded almost as though Hunter was laughing.

I put my hands on my hips angrily "Answer me!" I yelled at him. Through the darkness of his hood, I could see a smile slowly forming on his face. Then, without hesitation, he jumped on me. I tumbled backwards until I fell to the ground and struggled to get to my feet. I realized I was pinned down and gave in.

Hunter bared his bloodied hands, and then started clawing at my face. I started screaming as blood from my face dripped from his rotting hands onto me, and then he stopped. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, and felt very afraid.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked Hunter. There was a pause for a moment, and then he reached up to pull down his hood to reveal a half-melted, rotting face. He was still grinning, until he showed his bloody teeth, and attacked my neck.

After about five minutes of feasting on my flesh, he pulled away only to be picked up and thrown across the alley. I wiped the blood that had dripped into my eyes away to see my savior. My savior, was a group of very hungry townspeople.
They all stared down at me as if questioning weather to eat me raw or dead, only before I made a quick decision to jump up and run.

I ran out of the alley, and made a quick turn to the left. I didn't know where to go, but I knew I had to be anywhere but here.
As I ran for the nearest open door, I noticed I was beginning to feel weird inside.

I opened the door and slammed it shut behind me. I fell to my knees by the nearest corner, and began to cry. I was feeling hunger... For flesh.

The End
