Alice screamed as the demon launched himself at Jet. She dived infront of the sword. Crouching over him. She kissed him passionatly as the sword swung, taking her other wing clean off. Her eyes sofened slightly under the pain. Within the kiss she could feel Jet's soul pour through her. A tear ran down her cheek, but she wiped it away. Before her face hardened to an evil stare as she looked at the demon. "You shouldn't have done that." She growled.
She jumped at him, her body roaring with new life. The sword in his hand flew across the floor and Alice bit his throat. Then she put her hands at the demons chest. She could feel Jet watching her, she was ashamed she was brought so low to bite. But she placed all her energy into the fire. She pumped the fire from her own heart into her hands. The demon began to shake, it's glamour breaking. "Goodbye husband." She muttered as the demon turned to dust.
Alice slumped onto the floor, her back against the chairs. Her breathing became heavy and laboured. Her wingless back was covered in blood. She turned to Jet and smiled. "I won't let them take you." She mouthed, finding she had lost her voice. She sighed, her face contorted in pain, she couldn't hold an indignant face no longer. She shook with pain as the blood from her wing joints poured down her back. She pulled her knees to her chest, but kept her eyes on Jet, ready to jump upon anybody who dared to touch him.
