Phoebe looked up at Basilic, who was now crying. "Don't." She smiled. "Don't cry." Her skin glowed, then when the glow disappeared she felt new. Completely, her skin was white again, not flushed with red. She sat up. At first she felt winded but she soon got her breath back and turned to Basilic, wiping a tear from his face.
"Why are you crying?" Her voice was soft and full of new found confidence. But, Basilic looked strange. She would never imagine him crying yet, here he was. She looked into Basilic's eyes. "Please stop your crying." She tilted her head, her neck still ached but she was used to it by now.
