How exciting. Beans on toast for tea for the fifth time that week. Couldn't Mum have given Dad cooking lessons before she went on holiday?
"Ouch" I muttered through a bite of toast as I found that Dad had actually tried to make pasta. And failed. Twice.
"What's up?" Dad responded automatically.
"Oh, uhh, nothing. I had pasta for lunch today" I said, hiding a smile through another mouthful of beans.
"Hmm" my dad got himself interested in his newspaper. I smiled again. My parents didn't know about my 'knowing things'. I dunno, I just hadn't told them.
"Can I go on the computer after tea?" I asked.
"Yeah, do whatever you want. I'm going to the pub"
"Don't get drunk" I said.
"Oh, don't worry Sophia, I'll be fine" he grinned.
"No, I mean it. Don't. Get. Drunk"
"Liar" I muttered as I went upstairs. I was about to go on Sims when I got a sharp pain in my head. "I know I need to find those people!" I yelled at the fact "I don't know where they live!" I folded my arms. "OUCH! And what has the house next to Alice's got to do with anything!?" Oh. Ah well, Dad wouldn't even remember getting home. I doubted he would remember if I was there.
