In the Doghouse

"You forgot me."

"He did not forget... you are not going." Alex responded to Gwen's comment flatly. Gwen stared up at him, and a look that no one in the room had seen before spread across Gwendolyn's face.

She was angry.

She grabbed Alex by the ear and pulled him down to her height level. "What do you mean, 'I'm not going?'"

"Owowowowowowwwww..." Alex kept muttering. "Dear... owwwwwhow."

"Honey, I love you. But you can't decide everything for me... If I just did as I was told my whole life, I never would have escaped, I never would have lost my memories and then regained them, I never would have met my friends... and I never would have met you. So, I AM going, whether you want me to or not."

"Sweetie... It's not just your safety I'm worried about... you have a child inside you, remember..." Alex began to reason with her. "And... if anything happened to you... I would never forgive myself. So, for not only your sake, but mine, your friends', and especially our child's... please... stay here."

Gwen released her grip of Alex's ear. She looked into Alex's good eye for a second and stormed off.

Soren blinked. "I don't think I have ever seen Gwendolyn like that before."

Over in the corner Alex could hear Gavin chuckling to himself.
