Kids squeal as they race through the fountains, trying and failing to avoid the shoots of water. I smiled remembering when me and Paul use to do that and how he purposely use to push me into one of the jets of water.
"What are we going to do next?" Belle asks.
"I don't know" Gervase whispers flipping through the book. "These formula's are confusing"
"They're all in code" I mumble.
"Huh?" Gervase says looking at me. I turn and make eye contact with both of them individually.
"Its in code. Which I can't work out cause I don't have the key. The page must of been burn't. I've been trying to work it out all day"
"Any bit of luck?" Belle asks taking the book from Gervase.
"No... which is very annoying.... Wait!" I say suddenly. "Hand it here" Belle does and I scan each page. "I know why!" I snap the book gently shut and turn to them shaking it. "These formula's even in code are impossible. Its not code. Its just impossible. The things in here don't exist"
"Then.... why was Jane writing them down? And why do I unstand a few?" Gervase asks.
"Well, there are a few that make sense but.... most of them... they're just impossible" I say shaking my head.
"So... how does that help us?" Belle says raising her eyebrow.
"I don't know but... something my brother once told me comes to mind just now. He said 'Irena, if anything ever seem impossible start where the worlds most messed up cause answers start there'.
"Huh?" Belle says looking confused.
"Yeah, confusing isn't it but... I think it was a warning. I think he knew this might happen one day"
"Wait! Jane metioned something similiar once..... I think I know where we need to go"
"Where?" I ask with a tilt of my head and then it hits me. "Wait... you don't mean..."
Gervase nods. "We need to go to the down town back streets late tonight"
