Smoke filled my vision, the flames grow around me and my blood poured from my broken body. But I didn’t care. She was ripped away from me, she’s free now and maybe I will see her again the smoke was consuming me now with blackness. But no I was too late, I screwed up and now I was paying the price. A loud crack noise came from above my head, moments later it fell and even more pain shot through me. Time was ticking away now, everything was slowing down and the pain seems to fade…
Then as if by magic everything changed…
I was standing on a cliff edge glazing out to sea, the sun slowly setting giving everything a golden glow and in the distance I could hear the waves gently crashing against the rocks.
“Hey nice legs.” A voice I knew too well called, turning I smiled taking in her beauty.
“Nice everything.” Her smile grows. I sat in the soft green grass, and then I felt her body next to mine as she sat down and I take her hand in mine. “Don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear a dress before.”
“Is it ok?” She asked nervously running her hands down the dress.
“It beautiful.” I sighed glazing out to the sea again. I felt soo happy right now however, something kept nudging my head and I knew that I was hiding. But I didn’t know what it was.
“You need to go back.” I jumped up turning round seeing the angel again. “This is not your time Ash.”
“But I’m with her, really I am and I’ve got her back.” Desperately I was telling the angel.
“You need to find her Ash.”
“She’s there look!” I shouted feeling my heart start to break. “See she’s there!”
“Deep down you know she not here, you need to find her.” The angel replied. “This is not your time. You need to let go of this and go back.”
“And if I don’t?”
“Then it will become an Endless night and the world as we know it will become lost in darkness.”
“I don’t want to leave her though.”
“Ash, you can stay here but…there will always be that feeling like something missing and your never be able to change it…this is your only chance to find that missing something in your life.” The angel words ran through my head and somehow I knew what I had to do.
“What will you do to me?” I asked looking back at her one last time my chest aching already.
The angel came forward her wings opening. “Close your eyes and afterwards well your figure it out from there.” I followed her instruction closing my eyes and waited. It felt like she kissed my lips but I couldn’t be sure warmth spread around my body as I realised how cold I really was. “Breath Ash…breath…”
