Plantagonox: An old friend...

When Agonox finally reached the island that served as the lair of the Knights Draconic, he landed near the entrance to their temple.  He let Aria climb down to the ground, then he walked through the open entrance.  At the far end of the hall, a man stood, surrounded by a magical aura.

As he drew closer, Plantagonox bowed down and said, "Nazara, high mage of the council, I bring before you a new student, if you will have her.  Her's is a blank slate."  Nazara turned from the lore in front of him, and stepped down from the raised platform.  He walked forward to look at Aria.  Without a word, he walked around her.  Eventually, he came to a stop directly in front of her.  He placed a hand on her chin, tilting her head towards him.

"Look into my eyes child.  I shall test you.  If you survive, then I will train you."  Suddenly, a bright light began to glow between them.  For several seconds, the chamber was bright as day.  The light ended as suddenly as it began.  Aria began to fall forward, but Nazara kept her from crashing into the stone floor.

Once she was safely laying on the floor, Nazara turned and said, "She holds great potential.  I am not sure that she can control such power.  I will attempt to teach her, but you know what you must do if I cannot."

Plantagonox sighed and replied, "Yes, though I hope it doesn't come to that."
