"Evan? Evan?" I waved my hand in front of his face and he glanced up at me suddenly.
"You were gorming out."
"Was I? Sorry."
"Don't be. So, I have to go to work tonight."
"Do you have to?"
"Yes." I grinned, sneaking a kiss. "You know I do."
"What time do you finish?"
"Tonight it will be about one."
"Yes, it does."
"Well, I'll just have to have dinner out at the restraunt won't I?"
I shoved him slightly, then pulled him closer for another kiss.
"On your own?" I asked, having the sudden terrified thought that Dilila might be there.
"Well I'll ask Dilila if she wants to..." Something flickered across his eyes, and was gone as soon as it had come.
"Sorry, I thought I remembered something."
"Oh, ok. Well, you do realise you can't have special treatment or get more of my attention than anyone else right?"
"Oh I'm sure your attention won't be at all distracted by my presence." He whispered in my ear, his lips skimming my throat and jaw. I felt the heat rise in me again.
"Damn it." I muttered. "Maybe you shouldn't come."
"Because I'm pretty sure I won't be able to concentrate."
"I know." His lips continued to peruse my skin. I jerked his head up and sealed his lips to mine.
"Stop teasing me."
"I don't know what you mean." He teased.
"Yes you do."
"I won't come if you don't want me to."
"I want you to... I just don't know if I'll concentrate well if you're there."
"Well I'll come, and if I'm distracting you too much, I'll leave."
"Alright." I stood up, unwillingly, and went to get ready.
As I changed I looked at the mirror. I looked at my tattoos for the first time with pride. It was something to be proud of to be different, and now I knew why I was different, it made it worthwhile. Even if the prospect of having demonic power was daunting, and scary.
"I'm ready!" I called as I came back in to the room where Evan was sat.
