May : Lost and Found

I walk among the leaves, kicking them away with my foot to clear the path. My long brown hair brushes against my face as I continue on to walk to nowhere. I make the backpack on my shoulders open and my red water bottle floats out. I take a sip of old water from around two days ago and sigh as I put it back again. Suddenly, I trip over a tree branch and graze my knee on the sharp stony ground.

"Shoot!" I say out loud, but only some birds hear me. Drops of shiny silver liquid start oozing out slowly, I make some tissue and plaster and clean the small wound up as best as I can. I have silver blood. Actually, it is hardly blood at all and it also sorts of glows. Because of that, my eyes are silver and my skin has a weird silvery glow to it. I keep walking. Four days ago, my life was normal. I had red blood. But now? Not even close. Only a few days ago, someone kidnapped me on my way home from school. They strapped me into a chair or something. I couldn't see as they - whoever they were - injected me with morphine and I felt woozy. They did something to me. Then the next thing I knew, I was in my bed at home. With silver blood. The only thing I could remember clear was someone saying,

"Hunt down the shadows, use what you have, do what you can, and hunt them down."

Shadows? I wasn't so sure. So to prevent my parents and friends becoming suspicious, I left and began my journey to find Shadows.

Out of nowhere, I see a house, no, a Hotel. I'm quite sure it wasn't there before. Nevertheless, I walk up to the door and knock. Maybe I didn't have to, it was a hotel after all. Suddenly the door opens and a tiger greets me. I step back in horror, was this hotel run by tigers? Then out of nowhere, a female appears and the tiger was gone.

"Hi," she says, "Welcome to Hunter Hotel. I'm Jane and I'm a shapeshifter. You?"

"Hi..." I mutter, "My name's May and I'm telekenetic," making my backpack float beside me at the same time.

"Cool!" she answers, "Come on in, I'll introduce you to some of the other people here."

"Okay," I reply and I step into the Hotel. A male comes up to us.

"Hi, I'm Mark. I'm a vampire," he says casually. What?! A vampire! Oh gosh, who else lives in the Hotel?

"I'm May, and please don't bite me," I say, "I don't want to die just yet...."

"Don't worry," he laughs, "You don't look like you have human blood. In fact, you don't look human at all. Are you telekenetic?" I nod.

"How did you know?" I ask.

"It's not hard!" He tells me, "You are glowing, faintly." I smile and shake his hand.

The End
