"We need a new plan, everything else we've tried hasn't worked." I looked around the kitchen at the others, at least we wouldn't starve to death here.
"Obviously shooting up the landscape did nothing, nor did blowing up part of the basement. What we need to do is figure out what makes these things tick, what makes them go. I don't know much about these shadows and I don't know much about radios, but if they're anything alike then if we contain whatever is making them come after us it won't be able to communicate with them. Sort of like putting a radio in a lead box so the signal doesn't get through, maybe they will leave us alone or, even better, disappear." I could tell from the looks on their faces that my little rant really was as convoluted as it sounded to me.
"Do you seriously think that shadows and radios are the same thing? Did you hit your head on the way here?" Ara sighed, disgusted with me and proving that I was right, I didn't make a lick of sense.
"Listen, we just need to find out what leads these things, then like cutting the head off the snake, we seal off their leader so it can't control them. This place is magic, there's no denying that, and some of us have powers; we might not even have to kill anything. At the very least wouldn't they be made weaker?" I looked to Geoff, if anyone would know about such strange things it would be him.
"We're already stuck between a rock and a hard place as it is, I can't see it hurting our chances. But we'll have to think hard before we do anything, every time we do anything out there we nearly get killed."
I agreed, we all needed the rest, myself included.
