“Where are we going to go?” Leigh asked quietly. “It’s not like we can get out of this house.” It seemed like it had been so long since Leigh had felt part of a family like this.
“We could all ask our authors to write us into another story, but then,” Leigh blinked back a tear of sadness, “then we’d all be apart.”
Leigh heaved a big sigh. “Can’t we all just get along?” she asked, slightly smiling at the cliché.
As people cracked slight smiles. Leigh turned to Kathryn. “You were trying to tell us something back in the hall; something about how to defeat them, or at least survive?”
But before Kathryn could answer, Leigh was scanning the room again. “Where’s radio?”
