Confrontation

I saw Ara leave the room. I followed quietly. He pressed his ear against a door. I smelt the air. It smelt of that thing. I crept up behind Ara, and twisted him round to face me. He put his ears back as I touched him.

"Ara, I don't care what you did in the past. I love you for who you are, whether it be a coward, the one who fought kitchen appliances, *chuckle* or the shy one who sits in that dark corner with me. I don't care." I whispered to him.

He looked into my eyes, then hesitantly wrapped his arms round me. I hugged him, and I leaned my head on his shoulder. I pulled away. I looked into his eyes. He had small tears in them. I brushed them away, making my fingers sizzle. I gently kissed Ara. He flinched, but did not pull away. He jolted, and let out a whine. I looked over my shoulder, and almost screamed. There was a Shadow laying on the floor, but on one of its hands, it had three fire fingers. "Jyll!!" I screamed. Jyll jolted, and turned around to face me. I shook my head. Jyll's rabbit and a tiny vial lay next to her.

"Jyll, I'm sorry, but do you mind me putting a fire cage around you? That way no one else ca be turned into a Shadow by you, and you won't be harmed any further." Jyll nodded. I took the little vial, and looked at it. I gave Jyll her rabbit, and Ara ran back into the room to Corby with the vial. I looked at Jyll, and reached through the bars, and kissed her forehead.
