I Don't Think I'll Be Able to Keep That Promise...

Corby sat on the top step of the stairs, staring through the banister at the commotion in the living room. She curled into a ball, her hands tightly wrapped around her legs.

You went to far this time, and you can't fix it.

"Stop it..." Corby whispered to herself.

Leigh's hurt, because of you.

"Please..." Corby whispered again.

She's scared, all because of you Corby. You did this to her.

"STOP IT! STOP IT OK JUST STOP IT!" Corby yelled at the top of her lungs, standing up right and looking at the heads from the living room that turned to look up at her.

"Corby?!" A voice shouted to her but she ignored it, running and running and never stopping to the darkest room in the house. She sat in the corner of it, tears pouring down her cheeks.

"Leave me alone...please...just stay away..." Corby whispered.

"Too late." A voice replied, Corby could feel a bad presence around her, a much too close one too.

"Please, whoever you are, leave me alone," Corby cried.

"I don't think I'll be able to keep that promise..." The voice replied, and with that, a pair of sharp hands grabbed her and covered her eyes and mouth. Impossible to breathe and see, where no-one would hear her screams...
