They were here, invading what had become in only a few minutes, a version of home. I wanted to rip them to shreds! I had just jumped onto Misty when one of them grabbed my foot. I landed with a thud, my head hitting the hard concrete floor. Everything went black.
I woke up, in another room, with some of the others. I could only hear them, but not see them, as it was completely black. Misty was nowhere near, nor was anyone else's guardians.
"What happened?" I asked.
"We've been captured." someone said. I recognized her.
"Ami?" I asked.
"Yep. All of the gaurded ones and the guardians are separated. I think a few got away. Wanna try to get out?"
"Yes. Let's see where the door is, anyway." We groped around in the dark, until we found it. I felt for the handle, but there wasn't one. "Do you have any hair pins?" I asked.
"Actually, I do." She handed it to me, and I tried to pick the lock with it. I had done it before, but not in the dark and not when my life was on the line, possibly. But then I heard a voice on the other side.
"Don't move. I'll get the door."
"Who are you?" I asked. I didn't recognize the voice through the thick door. "Are you a rouge that suddenly attacked us out of nowwhere, without giving us any reason to do so? We've done no wrong."
"I'm a friend, of a sort." the voice said. The door swung open. I stepped back, the light hurting my eyes. I felt a hand grab my arm, pulled me out, and closed the door again.
"Hey, Scarlet!" he said. Finally my eyes ajusted.
"Hey, Sam. Why did you join them, you moron?!"
"I had my reasons, Scarlet. Please, you don't know me now. I've missed you!"
