Mrs. Clifford half dragged me to detention. It was fun to see her sweat as I squirmed my tiny body around. I didn't get it..why was I going to detention anyway? As I thought this Clifford's arms loosened on my shirt. Then she let my shoulders drop to the floor.
"Why did you stop?" I asked, curiosity finally caving in.
She didn't answer just stared at me with her cold eyes. Cold swept through my body when her stare felt as if it were drilling into my skull. Goosebumps rose on my frozen skin. Was she doing this?
"I'm not who you think I am." She spoke, the words hissed through her teeth. She sounded like a snake, attacking it's prey. Her body turned white and I could see through her to the detention door. Clifford a ghost? I flicked the obvious off my brain and searched my mind for an escape plan.
The door. Just a quick run and I would be in detention. Surrounded by witnesses. She couldn't hurt me once there.
