Why is it, that I'm always the one to look over other vampires; and my brother. I think to myself, brooding over my Bloody Mary - ironic, I know. I see them all, the newborn looking very vampish, turning a lot of heads.
As Lawson approces her, newborn's friend's eyes burn green with envy. I giggle over my drink, Poor poor mortals. Some drunk guy swaggers up to me, reeking of polluted blood.
"Heya, how ya doin' darlin'?"
"I was doing alright, untill I saw your face." I say, dismissing the helpless soul.
"Aww, c'mon beautiful, don't be like," he hiccups, "That." He comes round to face me, eyes half closed.
"Just, go home." I say, looking into his slurred eyes.
"Only wiv yoooou," he says pointing his finger at me, a cheesy smile planted on his face.
"Oh, you really don't want to do that." I say, rubbing my jaw.
"Oh, I really do," he says, I glance up, his voice sounding soberer now. His eyes glow amber, almost like a vampire. I glance to my right to see Lawson dancing with a gaggle of girls around him.
"Well, I am sorry, but I'm going to have to leave now." I walk away, he grabs my wrist, hard. "You really don't want to do that," he hisses in my ear.
I yank my arm way, rubbing my wrist slightly. "I'm sorry, but I have to go to see my brother." I hear the person behind me clench his jaw, I walk away before he can say anything to me.
I walk as fast as I can to Lawson, of whom is still dancing with the newborn. "Lawson, I need you." They both look up in shock.
"I need you," I repeat adding, "In private. Hello, I'm Lightening, nice to meet you." I say to the newborn pleasently.
"I'm Serena, nice to meet you," we shake hands breifly.
"Now, Lawson, I need you. Come on!"
"No, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll wait." He says, I glance behind me, only to see that guy weaving through the crowd.
"No, not later. NOW!" I say sternly, everyone all around me stares. He nods. "And, you better come too Serena."
"Because, this is gunna concern you too," I grab their arms and pull them through the door.
"What about my friends?" Serena asks, frantically looking behind.
"It's better if you leave them," I say feeling the cold breeze on my face.
"W-Why?" The streets are empty.
"Because, you're a vampire now. Things have to change."
"How do you know that?" She pulls her arm away.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm also a vampire, and we are in serious du-du right now."
"Ok then," she says unsure.
"Follow me," I say running down the streets, "And Lawson, hurry up!"
"I am, I am."
