I couldn't remember the last time I'd been here. It must have been years ago, as I had no recollection of this room, as it was now. The walls, the ceiling, the curtains, they were all unfamiliar to me.
The only thing recognisable to me now was the battered teddy bear slumped forlornly on the windowsill, its stitched mouth in a sad smile. The mouldy blue colour of his fur was bright against the dirty white of the wall behind him.
