Chapter 29: You mean, you can't see?Mature

I heard before I saw Nytahl falling through what was once a wall, but is now a passageway. What providence, I thought to myself, if she had not stood against that wall, we would all have passed it.

Along with the rest of the group, I walked into the passageway. Then, I heard the Lord speak.

"Now you can see. And also, the gift of Healing is yours."

Suddenly, my vision began flickering between what was normal, and a new kind of vision. It was painful, it hurt. I screamed and fell to the ground, clenching my head with my hands. I closed my eyes to stop the flickering, but the flickering did not stop, and the pain did not subside. But as quickly as the pain came, it soon faded. The flickering stopped, and I opened my eyes.

The first thing I saw was Raitoguchi, and dozens of demonic beings the size of large rats latched onto him. I stand up in horror, and try to brush them off, only to have them latch back onto him.

"Agh! We have to get them off!"

Raitoguchi looks at me with confusion and worry. "Are you sure you're OK? There's nothing on me."

I quickly realize that the rest of the crew cannot see what I see. I then look at our surroundings and see thousands upon thousands of these small demons clinging to every solid surface, and every person in the group, excepting myself and the area around my feet.

Then, I looked at myself, and saw what looked to be armor. Then, scripture came to my mind.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I lifted my hand and whispered a verse to myself, and within moments a flaming sword erupted from my hand. I stared at it with awe, as Nytahl stared at me with concern. She obviously couldn't see what I was seeing. Then, I blew on it and it extinquished.

"Praise God." I said.

Now, with newfound confidence I walked down the passageway and into a large room. In this room were thousands of items: swords, spears, tridents, rings, staffs. The list was endless, and clinging to each of these items was a demon. Nytahl almost touched a trident when Sukeroku warned her not to, and I could see why. The demon was about to strike.

I looked at Sukeroku, and began speaking. "Hello, Sukeroku, I am Kalton."

Sukeroku looked at me, deep in his eyes was a kind of fire. "Hello, Kalton, prophet, monk, miracle worker, and now healer. Is there anything your God won't gift you with?"

"It's all his mercy, I don't force his hand to do anything."

"No, of course not. Kalton, the one charged with proclaiming judgement to the gods of the world. Hahahaha. They will tear you apart, I hope you realize this. Are you willing to die for the message your God gave you?"

"I am willing. But this is not about my God. It's ab-

"No, you're right. You wish to know the location of the gods, and God has lead you here. Straight to my doorstep. How, nice." Sukeroku smiles, "But I will tell you how to get to the gods. Follow these instructions." Sukeroku sighs, "Continue down the cave until you find an opening leading to a lush forest. From there, travel due west. In that direction you will find the port city of Tartus. Ask for Yshmal, he is a sailor. He will let you on his ship, and he will bring you to a maelstrom of gargantuan proportions. You are to jump into this maelstrom. As it pulls you down, you will end up in the realm of the Gods. Shamballa, Olympus, and many other names."

"Thank you, Sukeroku."

Suddenly, a glint catches my eye as I see a sword across the room. Curious, I walk towards it, and see the great demon clinging to it. I hold out my hand and whisper a verse, and the flaming sword of fire appears. Then, I slice and cut, and the demon falls off, dead. I then extinguish the sword of fire and grab the real sword that the demon was clinging onto. I walk over to Shalius and put my hand on his shoulder.

"In the name of Jesus Christ, be well." And suddenly, his health and vitality were restored to him. He looks up and sees me, and then I hand him a sword. "Keep this one safe."

He looks at me with a mixture of confusion, anger and gratitude. "Thanks," is all he mumbles at last.

I smile, "Your welcome!"

Then, I walk over to Nytahl, and hold her arm in my hands. I pray over it and before her eyes the ligaments reattach, the muscles grow back, and the skin streches into place. Her arm is then healed. Then, I say a small prayer in my heart to God.

"Thank you, God, for giving me this gift that I may give glory to you! And thank you, Lord, that you have brought us this far and will take us to the end."

The End
