1.) What does the text have to do with you, personally, and with your life (past, present,future)? "I don't think none of it has nothing to do with me personally because i've never been through something life threatening, because where i'm from it's just too hot and that's the worse that could happen."
2.) Explain how the characters are responding/ adapting to the central conflict in the text. "Julia, the main character, is half calm and half freaking out, Julia's mother has lost it, and Julia's father doesn't even care he's too busy delivering babies."
3.) How much does the text agree or clash with your view of the world, and what you consider right and wrong? " I can see the Earth just...stop working...I guess you could put it that way, because what we've done to Earth, the world could end anytime."
4.) How does the text connect to events that are currently happening in your community, country and/or world? "I don't have a answer to this..."
5.) How did you learn, and how much were your views and opinions challenged or changed by this text, if at all? "The text makes you really think 'Wow this could really happen.' and makes you rethink everything about life.
6.) How well does it address things that you, personally, care about and consider important to the world? " We need to start realizing that we're the one that are messing up Earth and taking control and in reality we need to let Earth take control and let Earth work it's magic."
7.) How well did you enjoy the text (or not) as entertainment or as a work of art? "I think i'm gonna enjoy this book, what i've read so far is great and thought-provoking."
8.) What is your overall reaction to the text? "There is this one kid Daryl that needs to calm down, in chapter 5 of this book I would of fought someone."
9.) If you were in a similar conflict as the characters in the text, how would you react? What would you do differently? What would you do the same? "I would just stay where I was and let whatever happens, happen. You can't really stop things like this from happening and if it wipes out humanity...it wipes out humanity."
