Libra: First Day

I sighed. School. Well this is going fun. I skipped to my closet, better pretend I'm happy about this. Mum's been through enough this year let alone me being a pain.
I grabbed my favourite black skinny jeans, my shirt and dark green hoody from my closet, comfy and stylish. Right up my street, I smiled to myself in the mirror. This is gunna be a good day today Lilly. Jesus I'm talking to myself again.  I grabbed my awesome black heels and whistled down the stairs.

"Wow! Your happy this morning." I smiled and hugged my mother. She looked awful, big bags under her eyes. "and girl you are looking fine!" I laughed.

"Mum, please don't do that again!" now it was her turn to laugh. I loved it when I made her happy.

"Right then. What shall we have for breakfast?"

"Umm, I think I'll just grab a muffin, you know, for the butterflies."

"Oh hunny! Your going to be fine. I promise."

"Ok well I think I'm gunna go." She hugged me again and shooed me off.

"Go on! Go on!" I grabbed my bag and walked to the door.

"Bye!" I walked out slamming he door. "Sorry!"

I walked down the street tying my  long dirty blond hair up trying to fill myself with positive energy. "it's going to be a good day today" I muttered. Note to self: Stop talking to self out loud.

I walked up to the gates. No-bodies staring yet. Good sign. I tried to make myself look confident and walked up to the main office.

"Ah! You must be new." The secretary exclaimed.

"Umm, yeah. I'm here to get my schedule."

"That's fine. There's a load of new kids this term so you should fit in just great."

"Really?! Thanks." I walked out and looked at the schedule. English first, not too bad. I walked to a quiet corner and closed my eyes looking for somebody that might be walking past the English block so I can make my own way there.

That's my power. 'Seeing' people's thoughts sometimes I can even hear them and see there future. But there always kind of blurry, I guess I haven't practiced enough. It all started when I was 12, I started answering peoples thoughts. But I guess it's kind of cool to keep up with the latest fashions.

"Bingo." I muttered once I found someone nearby and headed off to the English block.

The End
