Peaches Lake

The plane touched down on the runway. I let out a sigh of relief. I didn't like planes. The best part for me was getting off. I grabbed my blue shoulder bag and practically ran down the aisle and off the plane. Finally, home. Well, not quite, there was still a long drive to get back to the house, but it was much closer than Australia. I fished my phone out of my pocket, flipped it open and dialled my friend.

"Hello?" said a voice on the other end.

"Hey, Aries! It's Peaches! I'm back!"

"Peaches? Peaches Lake? You're not in Australia?"

"Nope. And I got you a present."

"Why are you getting me a present? It's your birthday in a few weeks, the twenty fifth of february, remember?"

I pretended to sigh. "I know it's my birthday, but I got this like, two months ago. And I'm back to school in two days, once I'm over the jet lag."

"Cool. Well, see you in two days then!" She hung up. My birthday's on the twenty fifth of march, making me a Pisces. Although that's never been anything special, I always hope for change. The chance of my zodiac meaning anything is low, I wonder what Aries thinks I thought. I can't wait to see Aries, I haven't seen her for six months.

The End
