Eve: Just a little nudge.

"She's really pretty isn't she?" Ethan was suddenly next to me.

"Who?" I asked, having been concentrating too hard on the play so that I wouldn't miss my cue.

"Jenna," he gestured over to where she was writing important-looking notes on a notepad. She shoved her fringe out of her eyes and then went back to writing. This was the first rest she'd had in hours, and she was still working in it.

"She looks a bit stressed out, actually," I said quietly, more to myself than to Ethan.

"I wouldn't be surprised. What with all the stuff she does. I'm surprised she doesn't just collapse," he said.

I looked sideways at him. "My sentiments exactly."

He just smiled and shrugged.

"You really do actually literally like her, don't you?" I grinned.

He nodded. "Yeah..."

I watched him looking at her for a bit. He seemed totally entranced by everything she did. If James had been right earlier, this certainly wasn't proof. And besides, I didn't think for a moment that what James had said was true.

"Dude, if you want her you're gonna have to work really hard. To her it's all work and no anything else." I informed him matter-of-factly. "No time for clothes shopping, no time for resting, and absolutely no time whatsoever for dating."

"Oh," he seemed a bit disappointed. "Well I'll guess I'll go back to helping James."

"Oh, Ethan, please. Hard to get does not mean impossible to get." I gave him a shove towards her. "Go flirt with her. And don't give up flirting until she gives in. You didn't have a problem with it earlier."

"James still needs help."

"James does perfectly fine on his own. He managed it last night, he can manage tonight."

So Ethan went off to flirt with Jenna. And he was damn good at it as well. He even managed to get a hug from her, and she mouthed "I hate you" at me over his shoulder, but she was smiling. I mimed "I love you too" back and she rolled her eyes.

I watched a few more scenes that I wasn't in, and then Jenna sat next to me on the edge of the stage behind the curtain.

"What did you do that for?" she asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" I answered. "He wants you! He's, like, completely obsessed. You should have seen the way he was staring at you. You wouldn't have thought anyone else was in the room!"

"Really?"

"Totally," I grinned. "You two are made for each other."

"OK, now you're just saying that."

"Oh my god, no I'm not! And besides, he's not gonna give up."

"And he told you that, did he?" Jenna raised an eyebrow.

I laughed. "Actually, yes he did."

The End
