I had Bellona in my sights and I was ready to shoot. She had ruined everything, the bitch.
"Actually, I don't think shooting her would be a good idea." The Doctor said from the doorway. How the hell had he got in? I swivelled on the spot, aiming at him instead.
"Oh and why is that, Doctor?" I hissed loudly.
"Because if you kill Bellona then you'll die." His voice didn't waver at all; was he being serious? I didn't take the threat seriously and so aimed my pistol at her again. "Or don't believe me. Your choice."
"It's not my fault!" Bellona yelled. That was it. I shifted my aim slightly and pulled the trigger. She staggered back, her mouth wide open in shock and fear.
"And next time, I will kill you." I instructed, stepping back to the console. "So what do you want this time?" I asked the Doctor, keeping my eye on the girl.
"I just popped in to say goodbye." He waved at me before making for the door.
"What?" I looked at him, trying to fix his gaze. "You're just leaving?"
He tipped his hat to me after he nodded simply. "Bye bye."
"Wait!" I yelled, hitting a switch that locked the door. "You aren't going anywhere." He tried to door and smiled when it didn't open.
"You know," he said as he approached me. "I have never come across someone like you, Kovarian."
I made sure that the gun was pointed at one of his hearts before risking a glance at Bellona; she was edging towards the door, the silly girl. I could shoot her before she got there.
"I'll take that as a compliment." I retorted, watching as he stopped just in front of the gun.
"But do you know something." he murmured, placing his hand on the console. He was trying to unlock the door but I knew that it wouldn't work.
"What?" I hissed, ordering Bellona to back away with one harsh look.
"I'll only whisper it." He said with a boyish grin. He leaned in, putting his hand in his pocket. I lowered the gun slightly, moving towards him so I could hear.
"Eye-patches aren't cool." He whispered slowly.
I backed away from him and was about to fire when I heard an alarm go off. The generator was malfunctioning; it was sending power to the wrong places. My base was going to explode if I didn't get this sorted out quickly and I didn't know how long I would have. "Did you do this Doctor?" I shouted over the siren. He was standing by the door, his hand on the handle. He opened it with a cheeky grin. What? Those controls shouldn't work for him.
"Of course! Do you want to know the best part?" He shouted back.
"What?" I yelled, fiddling with the console.
"Oh, that pen Bellona gave you was a DNA resampler. It means that the moment you touched it, it allowed me to use any controls only you have since everything now thinks my fingers are your fingers. Clever isn't it?" He smiled, about to close the door.
"What is the best part, Timelord?" I yelled.
"That!" He slammed the door and part of the roof collapsed onto me. This place was crumbling but I wasn't going to let him get away with it. He had opened the door and was beckoning Bellona. I reached out for my pistol and aimed in their direction. I pulled the trigger repeatedly, hoping to kill them both.
They weren't going to get away this time.
