I woke with a start, Donna shaking me again.
"What is it this time Donna?" I asked, my frustration growing. I didn't feel well and the last thing I needed was her.
"I think I've found a weapon." She explained with what I assumed was a smile on her face - I just couldn't see it.
"So what did you need me for?"
"Well I was wondering if you could shine any light on this." I started moving towards her, ignoring her terrible pun. She appeared to have something reasonably heavy in her hand but I couldn't tell what it was.
"It would probably do some damage if that's what you're asking." I think she nodded in her absentmindedness. I crawled past her, trying to explore the Monk's ship. It seemed bigger than the Doctor's, with a much more open play layout. I moved into a room adjoining the console room, finding a lot more obstacles there.
I felt around, trying to lift anything that I got my hands on. A lot of the things must have been stands of some sort, with expensive things placed on top - that wasn't any use. I came across a couple of vases and urns but knew that wouldn't be enough.
A minute or two later, I found a knight standing guard over the treasure. I jumped back, startled but then I realised that it was just the armour. I felt up the leg and reached out, smiling when I found myself a mace. I prised it free from the hand of the knight, surprised when it pulled me down quicker than I had expected.
"Are you alright River?" Donna yelled from around the corner.
"Fine." I made my way back to her, showing her what I had. We laughed before moving in the general direction of the door. We felt for the outline, standing just to the side. When he came in, we could attack and make our escape. Perfect.
"Armed and dangerous!" Donna said, her happiness spilling over into her voice.
"That we are," I said, smiling as well. I could take care of myself. I didn't need him to come and save me every time.
