"You've got five seconds to explain to me who the hell you are,"
It had all happened so fast. First, Kovarian had dumped me with the lunatics again, telling me to relay back certain....information....via a small communicatior she had tucked in my pocket. Then, Matthew decided to get in touch with that bloody watch and go insane. Yes, it would help Kovarian and I but I certainly didn't want to be in the middle of all this.
And then this woman showed up. She looked about twenty with blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail. Her pale blue eyes were boring holes in the back of the Doctor's head, her finger shaking on the trigger of her gun.
The Doctor spun around, grabbing the gun from her and flinging it over his shoulder.
"There that's better - Oh. Hello...Aren't you..." He trailed off, frowning.
The woman sighed, placing her hands on her hips, "Again - who are you?"
The Doctor gasped with sudden realization, "Jenny?!"
"Jenny? Who's Jenny? Would someone care to explain what's going on?" I waited a moment for someone to answer my questions, then threw my hands up in exasperation.
"Sorry, do I know you?" Jenny blinked, her eyes darting suddenly to Serenata, then back to the Doctor.
Then I made the connection. Jenny had almost white, blonde hair. Sere's hair was the same. Jenny had blue eyes. So did Sere. Were they related in some strange way?
"It's me," The Doctor's eyes were welling up. Oh God, was he going to cry?! I couldn't take much more of this... "I'm the Doctor,"
Jenny's jaw dropped, her hands falling limply to her sides.
"Bloody hell. You really can change your face,"
They embraced abruptly, smothering any other words to say.
"Dad?" Sere started, forming the word slowly.
They pulled away, the Doctor grinning madly, "Yes darling?"
"Matthew's gone," She murmured, her voice a hoarse whisper.
Well, that's rubbish. The one person I was meant to watch and he runs off into an alien jungle. Perfect.
To my amazement, the Doctor simply grinned, slinging his arm over Jenny's shoulder, "No worries - I know where he is," He tapped his forehead knowingly.
River gasped, her eyes sparkling with - what, sadness? Pity maybe?
"Everyone, quiet for a moment...."
We all stopped whatever we were doing and strained to hear what she was hearing. Obviously everyone there, including Jenny, were not human seeing as they all seemed to be able to hear what River had. Everyone but me.
Serenata took off into the forest, heading for the general direction of their ship, the TARDIS.
"Um, hello?!" I waved my arm about, "I'm still confused!"
