Nyree PalmerMature

I ran to the festival, it was the best part of the year. Mom and I had been going to it since I was four. Too bad dad hadn't ever came. He was too busy doing "work", but I thought differently. He was actually going out with some weird chick. I saw them together. I had no idea what they were doing there, just hoped it wasn't it.

"Nyree, don't run you're gonna fall."

I slowed my pace, still thinking of dad and how him and mom weren't getting along. Divorce couldn't be far behind. No, everything will be okay. I promised myself. Resurrance is best, you might give it to other people but I think it's more of reassurring yourself.

My favorite quote.

"Mom can we go get some popcorn?" I said running in the way I remembered.

"Nyree, slow it down I can hardly keep up with you. And no, it's almost dinner time."

I looked at her and gave her a pleading look. She had to fall for it. 1-2-

We walked slowly, but it wasn't fast enough for me. When we finally got there I felt like I had aged.
