As soon as I said it, I felt horrible. Yes, my mom wouldn't be the happiest person in the world, but she was the one who always told me to be nice to people. I should've been nice. All the guy wanted wass someone to get over it and forgive him, but no one was willing too.
I sighed and picked up my pace, reaching for my book. As soon as I had it out, it was gone. I heard a laugh that sounded very familer.
"Prue, give it back." I said.
Prue shook her head and looked at the cover.
"Haven't you read this one already?" She asked me.
I nodded. "Yes. And your point is?"
Prue shrugged. "Hoping to steal something new from you, I guess."
I laughed. "Sorry, sis. And haven't you forgotten? I steal books from you. You're the one that spends all your time at the library. And before you start, once again, I would spend more time there if I didn't have band practice."
Prue rolled her eyes and sighed. "Fine, you win." she said, slipping my book back into my satchel. "So, what up with you and murder boy?" she asked.
"Nothing." I said. "Wanted to walk to school with me."
Prue looked horrified. "What did you say?"
I shot her a look, like what do you THINK I said?
"Fine, fine. I'll leave you alone. Sheesh."
I nodded. "Good."
