I followed Kyle Marks as he went down the hall towards the office. I knew he wouldn't sense me as long as I didn't get too close. Just as he reached the office I appeared behind him. Another one of my new skills that I knew would come in handy was the speed I had developed while on the run from a vampire hunter over the summer. Kyle appeared unaffected by my sudden appearance, but just as I was about to tap his shoulder he spun and caught my hand.
"Nice to see you again Scarlett."
"I'd say the same, but I'm trying to keep my lies to a minimum."
"Ouch," he theatrically grasped his chest over his heart, "That hurt."
"So what have you been up to gorgeous?"
"Oh the usual. You?"
"Dragons, Goblins, you know...the usual."
"Well, you'd better get in the office then. Wouldn't want you to miss your oppertunity to get back in the school would we?"
"No. We wouldn't."
I started to step away, but he followed. "Scarlett, Scarlett, Scarlett, isn't that kid from the kitchen dry yet?"
"Definately not Kyle. And still as delicious as ever. If any of the others knew I doubt he'd last long though. But i'm willing to share if you like." I reached up and kissed him lightly on the cheek, then vanished so quickly he didn't have time to catch his breath.
