I woke in the morning still entangled in his arms. But that wasn’t what woke me. My new phone was ringing, with a number I recognised even though it wasn’t in my phone. I answered it with a groan, pressing it to my ear. “Oh, Clarke, it’s so good to hear you.” I swallowed.
“Hey, Alex. What’s up?” His voice twisted something terrible in my stomach and my face dropped as Kyle awoke beside me.
“Wha’?” He murmured softly and my face fell as Alex explained to me his plans. I hung up and switched off my phone. Kyle looked curious and I sighed.
“That was Alex, my ex from Australia,” I explained, though my face was still pulled down in a grimace.
“Oh,” he murmured and I instantly wanted to throw my arms around him.
"He's coming to visit me. I don't want to see him... I thought I'd left him,” I whined.
"You don't have to see him if you don't want to,” he will find me. He was like a bloodhound, he knew my scent. He could find me anywhere.
"I gave him my address before I left. He'll find me,” I whimpered as my arms flew around him.
"If he does, I'll tell him you don't want to see him,” he smiled, but I was worried. Alex wouldn’t back down so easily.
"Thanks," I grinned, kissing him lovingly and without any hesitation he kissed me back, his lips pushing on mine a little more forcefully than he used to.
"So, what d'ya wanna do today?"
"Bed then," I grinned, rolling so I was on top of him, propping myself above him I kissed him softly. I noticed his tension as he kissed back and grinned mischievously. "You're awfully tense..."
He chuckled, "Is it any wonder?"
"Mmm, I guess not, a big muscley guy like me hovering over you like this," he giggled, "I won't take advantage." Unlike Alex.
For Alex, when we both had a day off it was a day in bed. Whether I wanted it or not and he also took advantage of my lack of strength compared to his. I wasn’t like that, I wouldn’t take him against his will.
"Good," he smiled as I rolled off him and got changed. “Going somewhere?” He asked and I shrugged.
“Nothing to do in bed,” he pouted, “I’m not leaving you though.” He smiled and I told him we were going to the park today. He nodded and I dragged him out of bed.
“Am I allowed to go home and change?” He asked.
“What if I say no?" I smirked.
"Then I'll just have to wear this, won't I?" He stuck out his tongue.
"I don't mind, do what you want," I smiled.
He pecked me on the lips and whispered, "I'll be back in a sec." But before he left I pulled him back, hugging him closely and kissing his neck softly.
“I love you.”
His arms crossed around my back and he smiled weakly, "I don't love you yet. But I will"
"That's good enough for me,” he hummed against me and I placed my hands in the small of his back, kissing along his shoulder line and up his neck to his cheek slowly. “Hurry back.”
He nodded, disappearing from my door. “Will do,” he called. I waited impatiently downstairs; my mum and dad still weren’t back. It would be forever till they were; they always worked ‘out of town,’ or ‘overtime.’ I didn’t care – I was used to them not being here. After a long agonizing wait he appeared again, “you ready?” He asked and I lit up at the sound of his voice.
“Yeah,” I nodded and his arm wrapped around my shoulders and I placed mine around his waist. I don’t know why I picked the park but it seemed like a good place. That was until I saw Damien and Phil already there.
