Annalise Jaye Jones: Alone...Or maybe not!

It seems that no matter how hard I try to make friends at this camp I always end up alone. It also seems to be that I keep running into people's private conversations!

It was at the end of capture the flag - a game I found neither exciting or dull - that everyone dispersed into their groups. Or should I say couples?

Okay, maybe I'm lying a little. I mean, not everyone in this camp are dating. Even though at times it sure as heck feels like it! It's just that the ones that didn't found a hole somewhere and stayed in it for the rest of the evening. But I'm not like that! I come from a big family and I need people.

I could of found Eric, him being my only close friend and everything. But he was too busy with the goody-two-shoes who I wasn't sure if I actually liked yet. She seemed a bit too needy for me, and my sixth sense (or what my older brothers Phil and Jack called my Annoyingness) was telling me that she was preparing to do something rash.

Phew! Knowing all that, could you blame me for wanting to take a walk in the woods? Well, I guess that I should have learned better from my experience earlier that day. But...What do you expect? I'm Annalise Jaye Jones. I never learn better!

So, back to what happened. I was walking through the woods when I heard something land and then two people talking. Now I'm not a nosey person but I will admit that I am curious.

"That's what I want to ask you. What's wrong?" I girl's I recongnised as Aliah's asked. You've been acting weird since I gave you the eternal stone"

"Eternal stone?" A male's voice replied. It was obviously Liam's. Those two were hardly ever apart. Aliah sighed and launched into an explanation about the extra-special rock.

To say I was surprised would be an understatement. Shocked, maybe? Perplexed, definitely! But not because of their conversation, but because I heard the rock! It was singing, but not in English. In another language that, thanks to my weirdness, I could understand.

I don't really know how to describe to you how I understood the words. I guess it's kinda like listening to an old song and recalling the lyrics. Or maybe it isn't? Anyway, the rock was singing the words and I found myself understanding them.

Soul mate...It sung. Looking, Searching, Wanting, Needing...Soul mate.

I don't know if you've heard of the phrase "curiosity killed the cat." No, the singing didn't kill me, but it did make me faint. And hit my head. Hard.

The sound of footsteps came scurrying towards me and I felt a pair of arms haul me up. They must have been Aliah's because I heard her voice say, "I'm taking her to the medical room. I think she hit her head pretty hard." No duh!

I found her...

The End
