It won't work

I prodded my face. I may have not shown on the outside, but I was totally flipping out on the inside.

"It worked?" I say, making it a question because it's far too hard to believe. "It won't last," I say.

"Of course it will! All you need to do is no-" Olli smiled as she said this before I cut her off.

"No," I say, "You don't get it. It won't work, it won't last, it's happened before," I say remembering the old memory. "It will just come back worse. I give it one day tops,"

Olli looks at me, her head cocked to one side and her brow furrowed in concentration. "But Coco said,"

"Well Coco was wrong, I don't think it's going to work," I pulled my hood up again and rushed out of the classroom into the boys washroom. I threw off my hood and looked in the mirror.

"Damn," I scream at no one in particular. My eye is already getting a little purple around it. I scream obscenities that I'm sure they can hear. I yell once more before leaving the washroom and walking back to class. I look at Olli and try to smile, "Thanks for trying," I say before huffing down in a chair near the front, still wondering what I'm supposed to do with my powers. I decide to probe. My eyes glaze over and I know I probobaly look extremely scary. I search through the school, looking at classrooms, looking in the gym, which I might add is humoungus. I come back to the classroom, jolting as my spirit re-enters my body.

"This is a nice school!" I say to one of the twins who had been watching me as I searched the school. "What's your name again?"

"It's Millie," she says. Her voice sounds like a harp.

"Hi Millie," I test it on my toungue, it's beautiful. It matches the girl.

The End
