I manouevered the ship into the dock and opened the hangar door. Before the harbour guards knew what was going on I flew from the ship on my speeder and entered traffic of Coruscant, weaving in and out. The wind and rain buffeted my black cloak, water dripping into my red eyes, the city lights of Coruscant but a blur, but I payed little attention. I had to reach the alley.
I entered the slums, were the Commander had been and found the alley way. It was just as dark as I remembered it and I could still feel the power of the force, almost touch it as I spotted the hiding place. I dismounted the speeder
I descended to my knees and closed my eyes, allowing my strong connection to the force to mingle with the force in the area. After some time, I began to get fragments of images flash through my mind.
"What on earth are you doing?" I voice called from behind me. I turned round, noticing a portly man wearing an apron.
"You do not need to know that..." I muttered, gently pushing him with the force. He frowned at me.
"No, but I'd like to," I stared albeit a little surprised, but changed my tact.
"I'm sorry, I'm new to this town, I was just preparing myself before I entered your Cantina, I heard it can get a little... rough," he chuckled then.
"Don't worry about it buddy, come on in."
The place was putrid, smoke filled the air clogging my lungs and mixed with the smell of vomit and beer. There was incessant chatter going on about pointless things and nobody even looked up when I entered which suited me perfectly. He led me to the bar and went around it, looking at me expecting me to buy something.
"Oh, whatever I'm not bothered," I said and looked around the room, "so who am I looking at?" I asked, the barman looked around.
"The usual riffraff," he chortled and pointed towards a bugeyed Rodian, "that is Feedo Dork, he's been coming here every day since his wife and children died, got a bit of a nasty temper on him he has, and the mandalorian... in the corner, that's Morard Folben, he's a retired bounty hunter..." I looked into the corner, sensing danger as his eyes passed over me, "...yeah and that Zabrak from Tatooine, he knows everything about everyone who comes in here-"
"Really?" I stared at him.
"Yeah, but if you're going to sit with him, take him a drink, he likes Aduki," I smiled at him as he handed me the drink and went over to his table.
"Dolpyee kikyuna," he looked up at me.
"So gracious of you to speak to me in my own language friend, but really, there is no need," I sat opposite to him, "now what can I do you for?" he asked.
"I hear you know everything," he snorted on his drink, "I was wondering if you knew of an incident that occured here last night," he slowly placed his cup on the table deliberately and coughed.
"I may know a little Cathar, but where are our manners, I'm Govrak and you are..?"
"Kasshyk, so... what do you know?"
He gently traced the rim of the glass with his index finger and took another sip, "I know very little, but what I do know is that there was a female, a very official looking female who looked not too different from a Jedi who was writing something down in her datapad. I caught a few words but that was all, something about someone being kidnapped... that she had spoken to the witness. Then she noticed me and I stopped looking."
"That is all?"
I was about to get up when I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Dopo mee gusha, peedunkey?" I asked.
"Da beeska co palyeeya pityee bo tenya go kaka juju hoopa," he replied
"Jeesko do sookee koopa moe nanya," I warned as he placed his hands towards his gun, "Je killa um pasa da beesca wumpa," he looked slightly frightened then as I let him catch a glint of my lightsaber, "now, hi chuba da naga?" he backed away from me, "Keel-ee calleya ku kah!" I called after him and he ran away.
I looked at the Zabrak who had a rather confused look on his face.
"You saw nothing-" I applied some force to my words.
"-I saw nothing."
"Coo ya maya schoon!" I growled and disappeared from the pub.
