A lot of things here on Protag. include mass amounts of writing, but what about short stuff? Although small pieces of writing don’t guarantee much reading material they do have the advantage of usually having better quality than most lengthy prose.

So here is the challenge: Write a small piece (it can be from a larger piece and doesn’t have to make complete sense, but can be like a scene in a story or a profound statement etc.) of prose (no poetry, sorry :/) that is only ten sentences long and has under two-hundred and fifty words. Then edit and perfect the piece- ask your friends to come here and critique it too!

My goal is to encourage rewriting and editing, and also to bring attention to the value of brief writing.
