I had been walking for days, no, years. Three years in fact. I was looking for someone, someone very unique, like me. She had a cat tail and cat ears and...she's my sister. My name is Siv. It's not short for anything so just call me Siv even if you want to give me a nickname, you HAVE to call me Siv. So anyway, here I was, walking through the woods, tired out of my wits when I slam into someone.
"Ow! Watch where you're going!" The girl I'd slammed into yelled at me as I fell. I rubbed my head and looked up at her.
"Kat?" I wasn't certain it was her, it's been three years after all. She squinted at me.
"Siv?" Her wonderful orange eyes looked at me questioningly.
"Kat! Oh Kat! I've been looking for you since.....well, you know what happened." I jumped up and embraced my sister. "I can't believe I finally found you after all this time."
"I can't believe you're alive! I thought they killed you." She hugged me back. I pulled away a little so I could look at her cat ears. Seeing them reminded me of something I had always wanted to tell her since we were separated.
"Look at this!" I spread my owl wings (that's how I'm unique. They're on my shoulders) for her to see how they'd developed. "Look! I'm fully fledged!!"
"Oh my goodness, they're beautiful! Come on, we have to go to my treehouse and set up your room." When we got there and had set up my room, we sat near the fireplace. I looked up at her.
"You haven't changed one bit!" I smiled happily up at her. She looked at me, kind of like she was nervous. I tilted my head. "What's wrong?"
"Um...I've changed a little......." She looked at the fire. She looked back at me. "Promise you can keep a secret. PROMISE."
"Cross my heart." I looked up at her with my strangely dark eyes. They were owl's eyes and they changed with my wings when I changed what kind of owl's wings I used. I can do that you know.
"Swear you won't tell." She looked at me pleadingly.
"Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye.I swear I won't tell!" I held up my right hand to show I was serious.
"All right, I'll tell you." She sighed and looked at me in the eyes. "I'm an assasin." She looked at me as though she expected me to flip out.
"Don't worry about it, I won't tell. I'll tell you my scariest secret." I leaned in close and said, "I can kill and eat mice whole without gagging." She stared at me, like I was kidding or something. "I'm not kidding, that's how I've survived the last few years."
"Wow. That's....um....scary." She looked at me. I shrugged.
"All part of surviving." I stretched. "G'night." and went up to my room.
