Walking down the stairs in the nude was...well...interesting. Probably not my proudest moment, but if it kept us away from those crazy mafia whoever they ares, then, you gotta do what you gotta do.
I decided to take my gun out of my clothes, though. I kept searching it for a bug. If there was a bug in it, I was naked for practically no reason. Well, for the most part. I fought my primary instinct to glance at Bethany inconspicuously, though I knew that would be pretty sad and stupid.
Though, I was wondering how we were going to get clothes on again.
"Hey Beth." I called, grabbing onto the wall as I slipped.
"How are we planning to get new clothes on?"
"I have no idea, but we can plan something when we get out of here. Let's just walk down all the way to the other side."
"Sounds good to me."
We walked in silence, and awkwardness, for about ten minutes, but without my watch it was hard to tell.
The walls were very dirty I noticed as I stepped down another flight of stairs. It looked like there had been a struggle down here once, well, more like a murder. There was some blood on the walls, and even someone's coat. I assumed it was just Foster's way of decorating.
"Jagan." I heard Bethany's voice say sheepishly.
"Yeah?" I said, a little distracted.
"What if the bomb does go off?"
"We're safe under here, I would guess."
"Yeah, that's not my worry. But what if Scarecrow thinks we're dead?"
"Then he'll be relieved when he knows we aren't." I said, still distracted.
"Jagan, could you-"
Suddenly, there was a loud sound and the room shook so hard it sent us to the ground.
"The building exploded!" I yelled.
"Thank you Mr. Obvious!" Bethany yelled, jumping to her feet.
"It's okay, we're safe." I said, standing up.
"Thanks once again!" she said, this time smiling.
Suddenly, the door in front of us flew open and we were surrounded instantly by men with guns, "Figures." I said, preparing for a fight.
