I stepped out of my car. Well, it wasn't mine. I rented it. It looked pretty much just like my car, but at the same time, it had the disgusting new car smell. Most people like it, I don't. I walked up towards the plane and gave it a look of hesitance, "I hate planes..." I muttered to myself.
"Hey Jagan!" I heard a voice call. I turned to see Bethany.
I smiled, "Hey Bethany! How are-"
She threw her arms around me in a hug. It completely took me off guard, "Whoa!"
I was too focused on the hug, to notice the man walking towards us, and giving me looks of envy.
Bethany slowly let go, "Sorry, I just decided it was about time I was less formal."
"Right, we're a family now." a man said, walking past us, "Are you going to walk out on this one too?"
Bethany turned white as she saw him walk past.
I looked after him and raised an eyebrow, "Who the heck is-"
He spun, "West, Scarecrow West."
"Cover, Jagan Cover." I chuckled, shaking his hand.
"Oh so you're the one who almost got blown up?"
Bethany stepped forward, "Scarecrow what are you doing here?"
"None of your business." he snapped. He climbed up the stairs into the airplane.
I looked at Bethany for a moment, completely bewildered to what had just happened, "Do you-"
She ran right past me and started running up the stairs.
I started to follow her.
Then she did it, she tripped.
She screamed in a really girly voice and started tumbling down the stairs.
I ran towards her and caught her in my arms, "You okay?"
"Fine, fine." she sighed. I set her down and she began to climb the stairs again, this time much slower.
I laid in the seat of the plane, with Bethany down an aisle or two. And with Scarecrow only an aisle across.
I tried to say something, "So-"
"Shut up, I'm reading."
I blinked a couple of times, "Wait, wha-"
"Hey! I don't appreciate-"
"Fine I'll move." he stood up and walked to another seat.
Well he sure is civil. I thought to myself.
I sat there for a moment, looking at Bethany and Scarecrow. Then I moaned, "I hate planes..."
