Novelist John Green once said, "The marks humans leave are too often scars." And if you decide to leave this world tonight, that is all you will leave: scars. Don't believe me? Go back to the beginning of this essay. Count the scars you will leave when you decide to go. It isn't your time yet. The scars you will leave aren't going to be like the scabs mosquito bites leave, disappearing over the winter. The scars you leave will be gaping wounds that a horrific accident leaves. Some days it will hurt less than yesterday. But it will never grow new skin. It will always be there: a grim reminder. In the minds of people you didn't know well, do you want to be "the girl who killed herself"? It's up to you to decide: do you want to leave scars or heal them in your time on this earth?

The End
