While the two girls said goodbye to the guys they had met, and exchanged numbers, I climbed in to the van and sat on the bed. Harry climbed in to the van and sat across from me.
"Aimee, I'm just warning you, Silas saw you kiss me last night. He's breathing down my neck about it." I moved to sit next to him and put my arm round his shoulders.
"Hey, ignore him. We both know what happened. It doesn't matter what he thinks."
"I suppose." He looked at me and I smiled, but moved over to the other bed again. That close I felt like kissing him again. Flo, Livvy and Silas climbed in to the van. Silas was in the front, driving, and Livvy sat with him. Flo sat next to Harry facing me. I decided it would be good if I had a nap. I was yawning every few seconds.
When I woke up we had stopped. It was dark outside the van. Then the door opened. Flo climbed in.
"Where are we?"
"At the services. We didn't want to wake you up. We'll be in Florida by the morning."
I got out and went to the services. When I'd refreshed myself and bought some snacks I climbed back in to the front of the van.
"I'll drive, I've been asleep." Harry, who had obviously taken over from Silas at some point got out and went round to the other side, sitting next to me with the map. "Aren't you tired?"
"I fell asleep after you did. I've only been driving for an hour anyway."
"Wow, and we haven't crashed?" He nudged my shoulder with a grin on his face.
"No we haven't, cheeky madam."
"Since when am I a madam?"
"Since I said so." He tickled me and I collapsed against him laughing.
"Hey! Don't tickle the driver!"
"We're not moving A." He continued to tickle me until I managed to grab his hands and pin them to his sides. He could move me in a second, but he let me hold him there. He blew on my face and I pulled a disgusted face.
"When was the last time you brushed your teeth?"
"Ouch, the insults are getting worse." He said sarcastically and blew in my face again. "You know you love me really."
"How do you know I'm not just pretending to like you so that I can slowly ruin your life?"
"Because you would never do that. And anyway, you're a really bad liar. I always know when you're lying."
"Oh really?" He struggled loose of my grip and imprisoned my arms by hugging me round the waist. "Hey no fair!" I stopped struggling because he was so close to me, his nose was brushing mine. There was a pause, in which I felt the air crackle a little between us. He looked at my eyes, moved slightly closer and I felt light headed. The van doors slammed behind us. Harry let go of me and we sprang back in to our seats. The curtain between the front and the back was pulled aside, and Silas looked through.
"Ok, we're all here." I turned the key in the ignition, tried to steady my breathing and cool the flush that had most definately spread across my cheeks, and pulled out of the services and on to the road to Florida.
