"So I guess this means you like me again?" He asked as he shut the door.
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." I allowed my arms to wrap round his neck, and pulled myself in for another kiss.
"I think we might just have to." He whispered before picking me up and carrying me to the sofa. I wrapped my legs round his waist in a bid to steady myself before he set me down.
"I don't know Harry. What does this all mean?"
"I'm not Silas. I can't analyse everything. All I know is it feels much better kissing you than it does when I'm not." I giggled slightly before allowing him to kiss me again. There was a knock on the door. I froze, my arms still wrapped around Harry, and his lips inches from mine.
"Damn." I whispered.
"Aimee? Are you in there?" Flo. Jeez.
"Yeah, just a second!" I unwrapped myself from Harry and shooed him in to the bathroom. "Ssssh!" He stole another kiss before I closed the door, and I ran across to the door. I took a second to calm myself then opened up the door.
"Hey! Ian and I were thinking we should all take a tour of the local area so that we don't spend the entire holiday cooped up in the hotel. What do you think?"
"Sounds good. Just give me a little more time ok? I have to email in an article to the magazine."
"But this is a holiday!"
"And I don't get two weeks off without a price. I'll meet you down there in half an hour?"
"Ok. I have to find the others anyway, so we'll meet you at the front door."
Flo smiled hesitantly.
"Are you alright? Aimee, really?"
"Yeah, just tired. Harry and I had a talk last night in the lounge. We wanted to get things out of the way so we didn't spoil the holiday."
"Oh right. Well I hope it worked out."
"Yeah. I guess I'm feeling better about it all now."
"Good. Right well I'll see you in a bit."
I closed the door after she'd gone and leant against it. That was too close. Harry opened the bathroom door and peered out.
"Thank god, your bathroom stinks of perfume and spray." He grinned.
"We have half an hour. But if she can't find you before that she's going to get suspicious."
"Guess we'll have to be quick then." He said, the grin widening. He padded across the room and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me in for a kiss. I let the scent of him wash over me before I pushed him back slightly.
"We shouldn't be doing this."
"If it goes wrong we'll ruin everything all over again."
"Then we'll have to make sure it doesn't go wrong."
"Well then you'd better go before she realises you're not in your room and that she can't find you anywhere else."
"Do I have to? I'd rather stay."
"Get out of here. We can always meet up again tonight."
"Promise me?" I reached up and kissed him.
"There's your promise. Now go, because if you stay we'll be here much longer than half an hour." I winked and let him out of the door before running over and collapsing on my bed. I was warm and shaking from our encounter, and all I wanted was to be wrapped in his arms for the rest of the day. But there was no way the others were finding out. This was strictly passion, nothing else. It couldn't be. I refused to get involved with anything more serious, especially with Harry.
I couldn't go through that again.
